When I swim underwater, I’m good for 30-40 seconds. This guy can stay under 4.5 minutes. How is that possible?

And on top of that, he is negatively buoyant enough that he can stride across the sea floor almost as though he were on land. I completely cannot relate with this ability. I have to struggle to stay down, let alone be able to walk on the sea floor. Amazing!

Maybe body fat floats?  This would explain it because this guy seems very lean compared to my plump physique! Does anyone know if this is part of being “negatively buoyant”?
